The Beyond the Giant Nature Retreat is surrounded by hundreds of miles of uninhabited coastline, now designated as a national marine conservation area and The Provincial Great Lakes Heritage Coast. Three miles to the southwest lies Sleeping Giant Provincial Park on a massive peninsula that extends into Lake Superior. The Sleeping Giant landform has the highest vertical cliff faces in central Canada.
Beyond The Giant Nature Retreats is not a resort. Our hand-crafted log cabins offer you a rustic environment in very comfortable settings. Peace and tranquility is a priority. With an abundance of wildlife in the area you will have the opportunity to see and hear moose, deer, eagles, osprey, peregrines, otters, beavers and wolves from your cabin or by visiting the park a short distance away.
We are off the grid and firm believers of low impact and sustainable occupation of the land. The cabins are solar powered and offer indoor plumbing with composting toilets and a concentration on conserving… “ Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”.
